Most web sites don't do very much. They sit there, sending out the same content day after day, little more than an online brochure. One person updates that content periodically, but for the most part, the site is static. This site is a good example of such a web site. What makes us excited about the web these days is how much more it is capable of doing, especially when you need to coordinate a group of people. Our newest Marketplace is going to launch soon. Open Source Providers is a directory of companies like Freelock who provide services and support for Open Source software. If you're a provider, please go check it out and add yourself to the list! In January, 2003, Freelock, LLC launched a prototype site to manage sports teams: Team Check-in. This web site helps recreational sports teams find substitute players for games, allowing each team member to quickly sign in for each game. It tracks the history of the team, emails game reminders, and even lists upcoming games at fields it knows about. It's a web site that actually does something. If you have a need for any of these types of web sites, Freelock, LLC is available for custom development. Or contact us here to be notified when one of these projects is ready. See the links under Web Application Portfolio for other types of dynamic web sites Freelock, LLC has created. |
