The weekend of December 13-16, 1996 I photographed and attended the 10th
annual event, held by the Northwest Outdoor Center as a benefit for the
Seattle Children's Home. This is a short description of the event,

I came around the bend to see the motorcycle down on the highway, and the truck heading for the ditch. I pumped the brakes but instantly my wheels locked on the ice and I slid downhill towards disaster.
